Elisa valentine

Elisa Valentine is a self taught abstract artist from the West Coast of Canada. She explores the contrast between the static and the variable, building texture and dynamism through colour, or the absence thereof. Each work is intended to unearth her interpretation of love, loss, and the tangible and intangible layers they reveal to us over time. 

After the sudden loss of her brother in 2023, Valentine inherited his beloved paint brushes. At first reluctant to use them, she slowly began to incorporate them into the creation of her pieces. The process transformed her art and life in ways she couldn’t possibly have imagined. She is a certified Therapeutic Arts Facilitator and a published author.
