field & onto is rooted in intentionality around space, material, and how practices exist alongside one another. field refers to a shared environment shaped by relationship, exchange, and ongoing activity. onto speaks to movement and perspective, to work that develops through use, proximity, and time. Together, they reflect a place where making, showing, and gathering inform one another.
The space includes abundant natural light, private studios, a gallery, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a communal lounge, a dedicated art wash-up station, and an outdoor area envisioned as a garden and flexible working and event space. As the space is still developing, there is some opportunity for early interested parties to shape how their studios function within it.
field & onto brings together a mix of creatives and creative-adjacent practices including visual artists, designers, writers, jewelers, interior designers, photographers and those working across related fields. We value symbiotic relationships and the ways dialogue, shared care, and proximity can support both individual work and collective opportunity. The gallery offers regular moments of activity and visibility, creating openings to share work and connect with a wider community.
